Hey all, how are you this fine Friday.
Today I have a new card for you in honor of the new challenge over at Meljen's Designs. The challenge is based on an inspiration photo.
Here is what I came up with.
I was inspired by the colors and the swirls. I had some great rust orange Core'Dinations cardstock scraps that I was able to use up with this card. I pared that with some embossed white cardstock that I inked with a sage green. The Meljen's sentiment image is a great one so I knew that it should be the focus, that is why I didn't do much to it except color in a few details. I topped it off with some inked leaves and a button. Super simple but I love it.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend.

Eye of Newt
OMG I can't beleive I haven't posted in so long. I have been crafting but I have not had much extra time for posting, LOL. I hope you all can forgive me.
Today I have a new card for you in honor of the new challenge over at Meljen's Designs. The challenge is "Tear it up" so that is just what I did. Last year I won this amazing Fancy Pants Designs Halloween prize pack and it came with the coolest papers. I knew I had to use them here. For the image I used "Jar of Eyeballs" which is so fun yet creepy all at the same time. I ripped the middle paper strip and inked the edges of all the papers to give it a great old distressed feel. I love it, maybe that is because these papers and the image are AWESOME.
Challenges entered:
Designed to Color - Purple Poison (my image has two diff. purple eyeballs)
Crafty Creations - Halloween
My Sheri Crafts - Halloween
The Pink Elephant - Halloween
Digital Tuesday - Halloween
Scrap Creations - Halloween

Smile
Hey everyone. I am so sorry that I haven't been shoring. I have been creating but between family, work, and DT and challenge blog stuff I have been swamped.
Well enough with the excuses and let's get to my newest creation. My dear friends over at Designed to Color are having a new monthly challenge. It is a sketch by Lizzie. I have not created for myself for a while so I thought I should give this a go. What do you think?

Thinking of You
Hey everyone I wanted to share with you my newest card for Card Makin Mamas. The challenge that is concluding this week was all about Rubber Stamps. It seems like since the invention of digi images, rubber has kinda gotten thrown to the side and so we wanted to dig out our red and clear cling stamps to see what inspired us to start stamping in the first place.
My card is using a rubber stamp from a Unity Stamps Kit of the Month (I'm sorry I can't remember which one). I was looking at the kit and just fell in love with this butterfly frame. I used a great double sided Stella Rose paper by My Mind's Eye that I thought complimented well. I flipped this ugly printed ribbon over so that you couldn't see the design and then inked a doily from Creating for Fun to match the card. Lastly I added the rub on sentiment.

GDT Post
Hey everyone, it is the 3rd of July. Where did this year go?
Today I am happy to share that I am a Guest Designer today at Tuesday Morning Sketches. They are being sponsored by Meljen's Designs and I got to be the lucky one representing us Meljen girls.
They have a fabby sketch for you this week.
Ok I won't lie, this sketch was a toughy for me. I knew exactly what I wanted to do but it took my 4 tries to get it right. I have had this awesome Imaginisce paper since the CKC in March and I have not been able to use it, until now. I love how it works with the super cute Little Lighthouse image. I topped it off with some striped ribbon and viola.
Thanks for stopping by today. Please head over to Tuesday Morning Sketches and play along.

Getting Sketchy
OMG I can't believe that I haven't blogged in a month. I feel so ashamed. I have been creating still for Meljen's Designs as well as running Card Makin Mamas but apparently I have neglected to share any of my work with you fine folks. Well that will change NOW, because I have a super fun new card to share with you today.
I have had this amazing image for a while now, it was a freebie called Boobielove from Saturated Canary. I have actually had her colored up for a while now but never knew what to do with her. Well thankfully my dear friend Carisa was my secret swap sister recently and she sent me this awesome Amy Tangerine stuff that got me so inspired. I have also been dying to use this design paper from Fancy Pants Designs. When Carisa's magazine Designed to Color posted their new sketch challenge I noticed that it would all work together perfectly. All the stickers are from Amy Tangerine and then I added some pink Washi tape that I also got in my swap package. Now I will admit that I don't have a vast selection of Copics to use when coloring an image so I blend them with my Bic markers and that is what I did here with this image. I am so pleased with the way it turned out too.

"Where is the world is Candace Pierce" Hop
Hey there everyone. How is everybody's day today? Mine is just getting started and it is GREAT.
If you are HOPPING with us today then you should have come here from Dianna's blog. If you just happened upon my page and would like to hop with us please head over to Ceal's blog to start.
I am so excited to be a part of this HOP to get the word out about Candace's new blog. Some of you may not know but recently my friend Candace received an email from an attorney stating that she needed to change her blog because some other woman had decided to use the same blog name and copyrighted it. This forced Candace to change everything and unfortunately LOSE all her followers. It is a very unfortunate incident but that is why we are here to help her get her followers back, and hopefully some awesome new ones.
I chose to make a card for Candace in honor of this hop. for my card I used a Meljen's Designs image called Faith Hope Butterflies. I paired it with some paper from DCWV and some re-purposed raffia. I kept the card simple to let the image be the focus.
Now it is time to keep hopping and head on over to Lee's blog to see what she has in store for you.
Now remember one lucky person is going to win a prize of 6 digi stamps, 3 from Meljen's Designs and 3 from Sweet & Sassy Stamps. You must comment on all the blogs because one of them is the mystery blog and a winner will be chosen from the comments left. None of us know who the mystery blogger is, it could be me and it could be someone else. The only way to ensure you have the best chance is to comment on all the blogs. The hop will be going on for one week with the winner chosen by random on May 17th. The winner will be posted on Ceal's and Candace's new blog.
Thanks for stopping and HAPPY HOPPING.

A little inspiration
Happy Friday to you all. I am here today because it is INSPIRATION WEEK at Card Makin Mamas Challenge Blog. What is the challenge you ask? Well it is a photo inspiration.
The fabulous sponsor this week is Tickled Pink Stamps and they are giving the winner a FREE DIGI. Oh how I love TP. I am using an amazing image from the Pinkette line for my card, she is Lil Pinkette Pippa. I LOVE her. For my card I used some papers from My Mind's Eye and some lace from Created by Martha. I am not sure on the brand of some of the other elements. Anywho, I am so pleased with how this card turned out, especially since it is my first attempt at rolled flowers.
Thanks for visiting and please leave me some love. Oh and don't forget to head over to Card Makin Mamas and enter the challenge.

It's an Alien Party.
Hey there. Today is my day to post over at Meljen's Designs, so I thought I would share it over here.
I have spent the last few days planning my youngest son's 5th birthday party. The idea for the party all started with a picture of a cake from last month's issue of Disney Family Fun magazine.
Now AJ thought that this was the COOLEST cake ever and so the whole theme for the party revolved around the alien cake. Now in addition to coming up with fun activities and games I had to come up with an idea for the party invites. Of course the first thing that came to my mind was the Alien and Monster release from last September. I asked AJ which image he wanted me to use on the invites and he chose Squiggy the Alien. So now my task was to come up with something simple yet fun for a 5th birthday party. I found a fun paper pack that I got at the Dollar Tree (surprising I know) and the rest went together so easily. AJ had me make pink papered invites to go to the girls and the blue for boys. It was so fun to have him sitting at my desk with me while I made these for him. He made all the decisions for me. He chose the papers, the sentiment and the markers I used to color the image.
Now all I have to do is print up some of these in big scale for coloring pages for the kids to take home in their goodie bags.

Pretty in Pink (and Green)
Hey there everyone. It's almost Friday. YAY.
I must apologize for my long absence from my blog. We had some health issues with my boys that took all my focus and energy. Everyone is fine now so I will be back to blogging and bringing fun inspiration.
It is CHALLENGE day over at Meljen's Designs. This week's challenge is: PINK & GREEN
My card for the challenge is made using "Springtime Candle". I love this image. I love that I can use it for a variety of different needs. This card is going to be sent to Mike's Step-Grandparents to say Thank You for the lovely Easter gifts they sent the boys. I used some fun houndstooth paper from Scrapworks. I paired this with a variety of flowers and added some awesome new bling I got at the CKC this year.

I'm SMASHING
Hey there everyone. I have finally gone and did it. I have made my very first SMASH page. Now I don't actually have a Smashbook but my dear friends over at SMASH*aholics on FB said that I didn't need a book and that I could make my own. Well being that I am a bargain person I figured I could manage that.
I decided to make my first book about random things about me and what I love. Well I love everything about the band MUSE. I think they are amazing musicians and I could not wait to smash about it. I used some fun colorful paper since they like to have lots of color in their band art. Then I just printed off soem of my favorite lyrics to the songs Super Massive Black Hole, Starlight, and Undisclosed Desires. I attached the band logo and my ticket from the concert I went to. Then I had fun doodling and adding buttons for dimension.
I am also entering this into a challenge for the Smash Hop going on.

Hey there everyone. It's almost Friday. YAY.
It is CHALLENGE day over at Meljen's Designs. This week's challenge is: ORANGE
My card for the challenge is made using a pre-colored digi called "Teddy Angel - Color". Isn't he gorgeous. Happy Wednesday
How are you all this fine Wednesday. We have had snow off and on and the kids had a late start this morning so I got a chance to play with paper. YAY.
I wanted to share with you a card I made for the FINAL challenge over at Tickled Pink Stamps. I wanted to make sure to play along. I used one of my first Tickled Pink images, Lil Lolita Evie. I am trying to work through my scraps and I came across these fun glitter papers from DCWV. I added the glitter ribbon, some bling and a little doodling.
While I am very sad to see the TP challenges go away and am thankful that I have been able to play along (and even win). I am also thankful that the images will be sticking around because they are some of my faves out there.

She's a Goddess
Hey there. I am back again today to share another card I made yesterday while home and this one is for the Tickled Pink challenge. I must say that while I wasn't able to enter their challenges all the time I am sad to hear that they are closing the challenges at the end of this month.
For my entry this week for Anything Goes, I decided to use the new image I won from a FB contest Kellie ran last week. I chose to keep this very simple and let the image be the focal point. I used some great glitter paper that I was given in a mystery box over Christmas and I added the sheer ribbon and pearl drops for a simple embellishment.

Loving You
Hey there everyone and a Happy Friday to you all
I have a card to share with you that I made for the most recent challenge over at Meljen's Designs. The challenge is LOVING YOU. I loved this little mouse image and I hadn't used him yet so I thought this would be a perfect opportunity to do so. I decided to keep this card super simple. The only details I added to the card was to emboss the main panel and use a heart doily that I got recently.

Lovey Pup
Good afternoon everyone. I have a card to share with you that I made for the most recent challenge over at Meljen's Designs. The challenge was .........Red and/or Pink AND Kraft. I think you may still have a short time to get your entries in before tomorrow's challenge starts.
My card is made using a pre-colored digi call Lovey Pup. Isn't he just the cutest. I really love the pre-colored digis that melissa has to offer because when you are in a pinch for time they are all ready for you. Plus they are colored so well. I used some locally made DP from a company called Paper Pizzaz. I had some fun crimped paper that I thought would frame the image well, especially when I added the twine. Then I used some Kraft hearts that I got from my friend, Lizzie, and some DP hearts that I got from my friend, Sylvia.

I used some locally made DP from a company called Paper Pizzaz. I had some fun crimped paper that I thought would frame the image well, especially when I added the twine. Then I used some Kraft hearts that I got from my friend, Lizzie, and some DP hearts that I got from my friend, Sylvia.

Saturated Canary GDT Call
OMG, I am so excited. Saturated Canary is looking for a few Guest Designers!! My friend, Carisa told me about this recently and after thinking about it I decided why not try out.
I have created a fun hippie-esque card for my GDT entry, using the Winnie image. I cut her out so that she would be by herself and not with the travel trailer she normally hangs out with. I had this fun mat stack from K & Company that really had the right vibe for the image, so I went with two of the papers from the stack. I knew this card had to be fun yet organic so I added some twine that I recycled from some homemade Christmas cookie wrapping, some crocheted flowers, some handmade and stamped primo clay buttons and then finished it with the heart clip and set eyelets for the holed the twine threads through. I was so excited to use tons of new embellies that I got over the last few weeks.
Thanks for stopping by and checking out my entry. I really hope you like it. Fingers Crossed, there is some amazing talent already entered.

"NEW" Challenge
HAPPY FRIDAY everyone. I have a new card I want to share with you. I made it for the current challenge over at the Card Makin Mamas Challenge Blog. What is the challenge you ask? Well it is..........
We want to see either a New Year card or some thing NEW that you received recently. Let's show off our new goodies.
The sponsor this challenge is ME. I have a mystery box of crafting goodies to give away. There is a little bit of everything in there. I have been filling it over the holidays.
For my card I used Firefly Fairy from MelJen's Designs. The "NEW" part of my card is the gorgeous paper. I was the lucky recipient of a Mystery Craft Box from my dear friend, Carisa, and when I saw this paper in the box I about fell over it was so beautiful. In the box there were also coordinating paper diecuts. I used one of the tabs and cut it in half to use on this card. The ribbon is a new purchase from a LSS.
