Happy Giraffe

Hey everyone. Welcome to my first post of the day. I will be back shortly with a second card to share. My first card is done for a few challenges so let's just get to them.

Challenge #1 was a sketch challenge for the Whimsical Wednesday challenge over at the Diedrich Dare blog. You can find them here http://www.thediedrichdare.blogspot.com/ The sketch was created by Jack. Thanks for a fun sketch to follow.

Challenge number #2 was to use your scraps and the challenge was put on by the ladies at Digital Tuesday. Check out the DT cards at http://www.digitaltuesdaychallenge.blogspot.com/
All the paper found on this card was in my scrap envelope and I actually still have some left after this.

Challenge #3 is actually a challenge to be a Featured Stamper over at Meljen's Designs found here http://meljensdesigns.blogspot.com/ and I used one of her freebie images. I love this image, well actually, I love all her images. Its a good thing she gives out some freebies because I'd be broke otherwise.

Challenge #4 is actually over on Cafemom in a group I belong to. The challenge there is to make a tall card. This is my first one so it was a little tricky for me. I am pleased with the outcome though. Still not sure if they are going to be a style that I use very often though.

Challenge #5 put on by Practical Scrappers is to use something you have had over a year. I have had the Primas, brads and the ribbon for much longer than that. This is my first time playing along with this blog, you should go check them out and play along too http://practicalscrappers.com

Challenge #6 is over at Pile It On. The challenge this week is animals, in addition to having your card fit other challenges. There are some great DT cards to look at over there and if you look real hard you just might find a link to a cute freebie that I have waiting for me at home to color up. http://pileitonchallenge.blogspot.com/

The second challenge is over at I Love Digi and they are challenging us to make an Easter card. Check out all the fab DT cards (including my friends Dee and Callie) at http://ilovedigichallenge.blogspot.com

The third challenge is for the Digital Tuesday Challenge and they are asking for Spring cards. Well I don't know what could be more springy than Easter eggs and bunnies. Go check out the fab DT cards at http://digitaltuesdaychallenge.blogspot.com

The next challenge is for Pile it On and they are asking for some furry friends cards. Mr. Easter Bunny here is certainly furry. I love this blog because they encourage using more than one challenge for a card and that is they way I like doing things. Check them out at http://pileitonchallenge.blogspot.com

A Mother's Day Card

Wow I can't beleive its been almost a month since my last post. I guess I got to be one busy momma. Well onto my card for the day. This card was made for my Grandma for Mother's Day, I figured I'd get an early start this year so I'm not scrambling at the last minute. the card covers a few challenges.

Challenge one is for the I Love Digi challenge. They had a challenge to use a sketch with the theme of Card for Mom. Well here is my take on it and I am very happy with the way it turned out. If you haven't checked out this blog then you should, my friend Dee is on the DT over there. Here is the link http://ilovedigichallenge.blogspot.com

Challenge two is for Whimsical Wednesdays:The Diedrich Dare and the challenge was to use a poster of the Cheshire Cat as inspiration. Well I just got this fab freebie digi image from Motivet and I thought that it would work perfectly. Go check out the blog at http://thediedrichdare.blogspot.com

Challenge three is for Cute Card Thursday. Thier challenge this week was Celebrations, so I figures what is better than to celebrate Mom. I hope they count this even though I do not have a celebration sentiment on the front. Also go on over to their blog http://cutecardthursday.blogspot.com and wish them a Happy Second Birthday.
