For my card this week I chose to  use 2 different images, "Fancy Little Stocking" and "Seasons Greetings" (this week's freebie!). I wanted to keep the card super simple. I used the Cuttlebug Snowflakes embossing folder on some blue cardstock. I used to shimmer white paper and some shimmer blue paper for the matting. I colored the image with Copics and added some Diamond Stickles. I finished it of with some silver cording and jingle bells that came from a Christmas bow that I had saved from last year.

Totally Gorjuss - Sparkle
OSAAT - Celebrations (I chose Christmas)

Cat O Lantern

Hey everyone, I am so excited that the weekend is almost here. I am going to be busy making 22 treat bags for Wyatt's Kindergarten Halloween Party next week. I am super excited to make them. Of course I am still trying to decide on what images to use.

Well it's Thursday and that means NEW RELEASE DAY over at Meljen's Designs. Check out these fabulous images (which can be purchased along with the rest of Meljen's fabulous images, at the the Whimsy Stamps shop).

Wow, aren't they great? Well as always, with the new release comes a new CHALLENGE. Yay. This week's challenge is ANYTHING GOES. Ah that sort of leaves it wide open now doesn't it. Head on over to the Meljen's Designs DT blog so that you can check out this week's challenge along with all the fabulous DT examples using the new images. FYI, the challenge gives you a chance to win free images.

My card to share today is using Cat O Lantern from this week's release. I dug out last year's DCWV Fall Stack and picked out a couple papers I thought would compliment the image. I took some brown ink and sponged the edges of everything, the cardstock, the PP and even the image. I added in some eyelets (which I love but don't use often enough) and a cute pumpkin brad. The ribbon was from a RAK I received a while back so not sure what brand it is but I thought it went well.

Oh Boy

Hey everyone and Happy Tuesday to you all. I want to share with you today and fun card I made using a great Greeting Farm image that a friend sent to me. This is Oliver from the Happy Day set. Isn't he so cute? I love that he is playing with his dinosaurs, he kinda reminds me of my boys.

For my card I used Core'dinations cardstock and some double sided patterned paper I picked up over the  weekend. I used the current sketch from Card Makin Mamas, although I altered it a bit. I used some  random buttons and paper flag/tags from Martha Stewart that have been sitting in a drawer for about 2 yrs now.
Challenges:

Feeling Witchy

Hey everyone it's Thursday and that means another fabulous release and challenge from Meljen's Designs. I think that Melissa has Halloween on the brain. Check out these fabulous images (which can be purchased along with the rest of Meljen's fabulous images, at the Whimsy Stamps shop)

Aren't those fantastic? Well as always, with the new release comes a new CHALLENGE. Yay. This week's challenge is all about TAGS. Make a tag, put a tag on your card, whatever you can think of as long as it has  or is a TAG. Sounds like fun huh? Well personally I have a fear of tags. I definately had to get over that for this challenge. I can never think of a way to fit them in to my creations. I am tag-challenged (LOL). I hope you like what I came up with.

For this card I used the new image "Little Bunny Witch" and the Trick or Trest freebie from a couple week's ago. I had alot of fun with this bunny image. I wanted to go rustic/country with the card and I had this paper in my stash for at least a couple years and I thought it would work perfectly. I oulined everything with the black cardstock to make it pop. The Trick or Treat TAG I attached using a Halloween brad that says "Scary" on it. Then I chalked the edge of the images with purple.

Now please please head on over to the Meljen's Designs DT blog so that you can check out this week's challenge along with all the fabulous DT examples using the new images. FYI, the challenge gives you a chance to win free images.

Challenges:
Prairy Fairy Fridays - Tags
One Stitch at a Time - Digi image

Yummy Candy Corns

Good Afternoon to all my lovely bloggy friends. I hope you all had time to join in the awesome blog hop last weekend. I appreciate all the love you gave me and I am very thankful for the new followers. Today I would like to share with you a new card using on of Meljen's brand new images.

Today I used "Cute Little Candy Corns" can be found for sale, along with the rest of Meljen's fabulous images, at the Whimsy shop. I decided to pair it with some DP that I had floating around my stash since last Halloween. I wanted to keep the card simple so I had fun with the layout, popped up one of the Candy Corns and the hard candy, and made the image the main focus. I added some Dew Drops for the final touch.

Now there is still time to get in on the current challenge, which is Monochromatic (NO GLITTER) over at the Meljen's Designs DT blog. Also there are two great freebies this week for you to grab. What are you waiting for. Head on over there. Oh and don't forget to join us this Thursday with a spooky new challenge.

Challenges entered:

DT Announcement and Blog Hop

OMG I can't beleive the day is finally here to tell you all about my fantastically exciting news. I am now a full time member of the Meljen's Design Team.

A few weeks ago I was approached by one of my dear friends on the team and she told me that they wanted me to be a full time team member. I was practically jumping up and down with excitement, of course I had to say yes. It has been a hard secret to keep from you all. In addition to myself, there are seven other new members joining me in this journey. Plus there are seven returning members. That means lots of inspiration to be had. In honor of this great announcement we are having a..............

BLOG HOP

This three-day BLOG HOP PARTY will feature all returning and new designers, plus there will be PRIZES at the end. Hooray for prizes. All you need to do is leave some love at each designer's blog to be eligible for  prizes, GRAND PRIZE of FOUR images {of the winner's choice} and then how about three MORE winners, each getting two images of their choice from the Whimsy shop.  The winners will be announced on Freebie Monday, which means that technically, everyone gets a prize!

You should have arrived here from Dianna's blog. If you are just happening upon my page and have not been doing the hop, please head on over to the Meljen's Designs DT blog for the details and the blog list (which I am also posting below). But before I do that let me share my fab Meljen's creation with you.

My card for the hop is using an image from last week's new release Autumn Leaf and Acorn and can be found for sale, along with the rest of Meljen's fabulous images, at the Whimsy shop . I used the leaf and the acorn multiple times in my card to give it a very Fall vibe. Everything I used for this card is from my "stash".

Now off to the rest of the hop. From here you should go visit Lauretta at her blog and see what amazing project sahe has to share with you. If you need, here is the entire blog hop lineup.

Please check out  the Meljen's Designs DT blog to see the current challenge, which started yesterday. Grab the freebie from Monday and play along. Each week I will be sharin more and more Meljen's images with you and be sure to visit the Meljen's Designs DT blog , especially Thursdays, where (each week) there is a new release and a new challenge!
