Thanks Dee

My dear friend Dee gave me this blog award recently and I completely spaced posting it, so I am doing it now. I am so appreciative of her acknowledging me because to be honest I don't think I'm that good at this card stuff. LOL.

This is what Miss Dee had to say about me.
Jessica - who is such a fun gal!! I just had the chance to meet her near her hometown and she took me to her favorite stamping shops and we enjoyed a nice cup of coffee on such a pretty day! I'm so glad we got a chance to meet and I look forward to hanging out with you again, soon! Big hugs to you, Sweetie!

Well THANK YOU Dee and I too had a blast hanging out and I can't wait to do it again.

Part of receiving the award is sharing it with 7 other people, and then sharing 7 things about yourself...

The 7 Beautiful Bloggers that I would like to share this with are:

To Lizzie who's blog is a constant stop on my daily blog journey. Her work is incredible and inspiring. I also want to congratulate her on the birth of her son Jax yesterday.

To Angie who's blog is so pretty and inspiring. I met Angie over at Cafemom and I love seeing the progression of her talent. Her work is wonderful.

To Heather over at I am so glad that I have got to know you. I love seeing your layouts and cards. I wish that I lived over by you and Cass so that I could get together with you guys too.

To my dear friend Cassandra Thank you so much for being my friend and letting me vent ot you. You are a talented crafter and a wonderful person. I am inspired by you. I wished we lived closer so that I could actually talk to you in person and not on FB. LOL. Hugs to you and thanks for your support recently.

To Norma Jean I had the wonderfuol pleasure of working with Norma on the TGF Royal Battle as a part of the Farmaholics team. Thank you so much for that I had fun. You are very talented and a great person. I am glad to know you.

To Jenn who I also had the pleasure of teaming up with as part of the TGF Royal Battle challenge. I enjoyed being on the team with you. I love the simplicity of your creations because to me it lets the meaning of the cards shine through.

To CraftyKat You have been a long time follower of mine and I greatly appreciate your support. I also am a fan of your work as well. Thanks.

And now for 7 things about me...

1. I hate tomatoes and onions but I like salsa and spaghetti and onion rings. Go figure.

2. I read at least one book a week. I am a huge fan of reading and I read all sorts of fictional work

3. My fave movie is Gone with the Wind. I would love to go down south and tour Tara.

4. I am obsessed with snowmen and my husband has banned all things snowmen because of it. I went a little overboard one year decorating, LOL.

5. I am allergic to chocolate and caffiene.

6. I loathe and despise cleaning.

7. I would love to be a stay at home mom.

Well now you know a bit more about me and aren't you glad you do. LOL.

So many challenges

Hey there everyone and Happy Monday. First off I want to say Happy Birthday to my beautiful son AJ who is turning 3 today. I can't beleive how grown up he is.

Now onto the card and the challenges. This card fit 7 challenges. That is a record for me.

1. The sketch challenge over at Inspirational Card Sketches is what I used to create the card with.

2. Over at Digital Tuesday we were challenged to create something representing either April Flowers or April Showers. I used flowers.

3. Over at ABC Challenge we were challenged to use sparkle. I used sparkly paper and bling. I also added it to the image but the camera didnt pick it up.

4. Over at Fab & Funky we were to use old and neglected stash. The neglected stash I used was the papers and the bling. The papers were scraps that had been sitting for quite some time.

5. Over at the Prarie Fairy challenge blog we were challenged to distress something. I took the Gemstones Core'dinations scraps that I had and distressed the edges of the papers. With the other Core'dinations scraps I embossed them and sanded the embossing and then distressed the edges.

6. At Kaboodle Doodles the challenge was to emboss. I used my Cuttlebug and the Swiss dots folder on the Core'dinations scraps.

7. Over at the Cuttlebug Spot we were told to use our fave flower (and of course embossing). I love wildflowers and that is what I thought the image and the Primas represented.

Card Details:
Paper - Core'dinations
Image - Bugaboo Stamps (colored with Bic Mark-its & Copics)
Accents - embossing (Swiss Dots - Cuttlebug), Prima Flowers, misc. bling

Good Afternoon

Hey there. I'm stopping by the Wednesday to show off my newest creation which was used for a couple challenges.

The first challenge is from Cinema Saturday Challenge Blog and it is to make a card inspired by the movie UP and it must include balloons. Well I'll tell you, creating a house like Carl & Ellie's wasnt easy. However, adding Russell and Dug was.

The next challenge is from the Nutshells Challenge #13 over at and it was to make a shaped card and mine is shaped like a house (as well as I can do).

Well thanks for stopping by and looking.

Baby Card using Toby Cub

Well hello everyone. I hope that you all had a wonderful weekend. I know I did.

No onto this wonderful card for some great friends who had a baby this past week. I have created this card for several challenges.

1. The first challenge that this card is for is the Farm Fresh Friday challenge at the Greeting Farm blog The challenge called for some Spring Cleaning so we were to use items that have been unused for quite some time. In this case it would be the papers and the metal swirl embellie.

2. The ladies at Cupcake Crafts challenged us to make a card representing childhood. Well this card remeinds me of my boys taking thier first steps. Check out the challenge at

3. Over at the Corrosive Challenge and at Totally Gorjuss we were asked to use texture in our cards. Well first the brown cardstock has a natural texture to it, the white dots on the green paper are embossed, and the paper weaving adds texture as well.

4. the last challenge is for Stamptacular Sunday Challenge, which my friends Dee and Callie are on the DT there The challenge was Spots & Dots ad we were to use two patterned papers that had spots or dots. My two papers ar ethe green & white dotted paper and the brown & blue dotted paper I used for the weaving.

Nutcrafters DT call

OK so I saw that one of the blogs I follow was having a DT call and I decided to get off my duff and enter. This is the first DT call that I have ever done. Nutcrafters gave us all the same image to use and this is what I have done with it. To check out the rest of the entries or to just check out the blog go to Hope you enjoy.

I also used this weeks Taylored Expressions sketch to make this card. Please check them out at They have some wonderful talent in their DT and they also have some great stamps.
