Happy Friday to you all.
I thought I'd drop in real quick to share a card I made recently for my son to give to a friend for her birthday. Sorry the pic is blurry. I am still figuring out my new camera.
For my card today I used a Meljen's Designs image called Hearty Hippo, which can be purchased along with the rest of Meljen's fabulous images, at the the Whimsy Stamps shop. I had been hoarding my Echo Park papers that I bought that the CKC, but I decided it was finally time to get crafty with them. I absolutely ADORE Echo Park and I really wish someone nearby would sell it.
Well hope you like and I will be back next week with more lovelyness to share with you.

Pretty in Pink
Good day to you all, its Thursday again and that means it's means NEW RELEASE DAY over at Meljen's Designs. Check out these fabulous images (which can be purchased along with the rest of Meljen's fabulous images, at the the Whimsy Stamps shop).
As always, with the new release comes a new CHALLENGE. Yay. This week's challenge is
PINK & PEARLS.
For my card today I chose to use "Little Ballerina" from the new release. She was so pretty I couldn't help myself. Sorry the pic is not of the best quality, I am still trying to figure out my new camera. I used some scrap pink design paper from DCWV Sweet Stack. I love the glittery swirls through it and I knew this would work well together. I added this awesome sheer ribbon with swirled cording on it that I got on clearance at Walmart. For the pearls, I took a strand of pearl cording I had and cut individual pearls off to glue on various places. I used one in the flower, one for the necklace, 3 for the belt on the tutu, and then I placed several on the corded ribbon.
Now head on over to the Meljen's Designs DT blog so that you can check out this week's challenge along with all the fabulous DT examples using the new images. FYI, the challenge gives you a chance to win free images. Also don't forget to grab this week's FREEBIE while you are there.
CHALLENGES:
Stamp Something - Digi Day
Catch the Bug - Anything Goes
One Stop Craft Challenge - Texture

A Little Birdie Told Me
It is Inspiration Day over at the Card Makin Mamas Challenge Blog.
For my card today I used a pre colored digi from Meljen's Designs called Birdie's Little Letter. I adore these pre-colored digis. It really helps speed things up when you are in a time crunch. I paired him with this gorgeous double sided paper from Fancy Pants Design. I matted everything in this locally made cardstock. I topped it all off with the ribbon, a flower I created myself using Nesties and a super cool flower brad.
Now don't forget that the current Card Makin Mamas challenge is RECIPE 1 2 3 and it runs until 11:59pm on the 26th. The random winner will win their choice of 3 images from Some Odd Girl.
Challenges:
Crafty Creations - Flowers

CASE-ing Lisa
Hey Im back for my second post today. This one is for the Farm Fresh Challenge Blog. On Monday they posted their Mystery Monday CASE challenge. You can either CASE the card shown, OR you can use it as an inspiration piece. Well thisk weeks CASE card is one by my friend, Lisa, so of course I had to play along.
I used Cheeky Mate for my image and I colored her with Bics and Copics. My Mom's birthday is on the 4th of July so I thought I would use that as inspiration for the image and papers. I chose to some AWESOME new papers that I got recently by October Afternoon. Aren't they great. Then I used some scrap ribbon I had and these really cool oversized wooden star buttons I got from Joanne's on clearance.
Thanks for stopping by. I will be back shortly with my Card Makin Mamas Post.
